Conceived by Nisha Krishnan, entrepreneur, media evangelist, and founder of Channeliam.com, a multilingual news platform for startups, She Power turns insight into action through high-impact sessions, clinics, and community.
Empowering Women in Global Competition
She Power is Channeliam’s flagship women-empowerment platform, begun in 2019 with support from the U.S. Department of State, to move women from talk to action. The 2025 edition is a focused, one-day summit that celebrates leadership and delivers plug-and-play skills women can use the very next day.

Nisha Krishnan is a celebrated journalist and the founder of channeliam.com, known for her impactful initiative, She Power. Through She Power, she launched the She Power vision series, a transformative project focused on empowering women entrepreneurs, startups, and women in technology. Nisha’s work gained international recognition with grants from the US State Department in 2020 and 2021, leading to her participation in the International Visitor Leadership Program and the Alumni Thematic International Exchange Seminar (TIES) in Kazakhstan.
Driven by her dedication to women’s empowerment, Nisha developed workshops, training sessions, summits, and hackathons under the She Power project. These programs aimed to uplift women across India, providing them with opportunities to thrive. Starting her journalism career in 2002, she quickly became a prominent figure in South India, receiving accolades such as the Laadly Award in 2008 and the Kerala State Media Award in 2011, along with the Indian Medical Association Award and the Dr. Ambedkar Award, highlighting her contributions to journalism and her commitment to gender equality.
